Abstract. The task of digitalizing meandering complex spaces in 3D is a challenging one even with the most advanced instrumentation like lightweight terrestrial laser scanner or portable/wearable Mobile Mapping Systems (MMSs). complexity and extension architectonic such as staircases, corridors passages are that acquisition time using static devices becomes prohibitive accuracy mobile gets affected by drift error leading to warped models requiring abundant control measurements. This paper presents photogrammetric portable fisheye multicamera solution for survey areas aims at being both handy fast well more reliable ad accurate than common MMSs. showcases stress test conducted on five reconstruction trajectories selected from connection Milan’s Cathedral. tests constructed worst-case scenario evaluate amount proposed system open-ended unconstrained paths. results, though still suffering moderate error, highlights potential solution, especially retaining overall shape orthogonality elements acquired.
